Completion of this classroom training is mandatory for new members. If you cannot make this date, or this date is full, please choose another date. There is one every month. This date is first come, first served, and we likely have more people eligible than we have spots available, so please register as soon as you can. There is no cost for Classroom Training
The hours are 9:00 AM until approximately 5:00 PM. Please be on time. There is a lot of material to cover.
This New Member Safety Course will be conducted in a classroom setting. This course will be conducted according to the curriculum set by the Canadian Shooting Sports Association (CSSA). This will conclude with a written exam, and if required, followed by a trip to the range for a dry handling practical test. If you have begun your range visits already, you will not be required to complete the practical test and can leave mid-afternoon after your written test is scored.

Bring your favourite pen and the duo tang booklet you should have received at your first range visit if you've been to the range for live fire training. If you do not have one yet, there will be some available to distribute that day. DO NOT BRING FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION INTO THE BUILDING.
If you have not uploaded a photo for your membership card in your profile, you will be photographed for your Club identification card.
Bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks. We do not break for lunch. There won't be time to go to a restaurant and there are no nearby establishments. There is a microwave and a very limited pay canteen available with some snacks and drinks.
We will be visiting the range after to conduct the dry handling practical test, as well as do a Range Orientation for those that have the time, and there may be an opportunity to do a live fire session, also depending on time.
If for any reason you will be arriving late or won't make it due to unforeseen circumstances within 24 hours of the course, please e-mail (preferred) or call or text me ASAP at 613-930-6356 as well as cancelling your registration if you can't make it. The online cancellation is critical as the system will automatically contact the next person on the waiting list so they can attend.
The Training Team is looking forward to meeting you.
